Old Music Tuesdays: Mike Patton guest spots

Today’s Old Music Tuesday builds on my love affair with Mike Patton’s work. For those readers/listeners who are only familiar with Faith No More, you’re barely scratching the surface. Mr. Patton is truly an eclectic musician and refuses to be pigeon-holed into only one genre. I guess that’s why I like him so much. He can write and perform metal, hip hop, jazz, punk, noise, classical, and avant garde music with equal skill and gusto. He’s collaborated with many musical acts, including Sepultura, Isis, Zu, John Zorn, Serj Tankian, Melvins, Subtle, Odd Nosdam, and many more.

I’m the best you’ll ever have.
The playlist I’ve provided focuses on his guest spots, but this should not be seen as a comprehensive list. Patton has been creating music since the 1980s and has been performing guest spots for the same length of time. It is very difficult, if not impossible, to collect all of his side work. Instead, I’ve provided my favorites, more or less in the order of release. You’ll hear a variety of musical styles, so be warned that you may not enjoy every song, but I hope you do!
If you can’t see the playlist below, click here to be taken to this playlist on my YouTube page. Thanks for listening!
