Racism Affects Us All
I’m still struggling with the right words to say. I want to post something constructive from a place of healing and justice, but all I feel right now is anger.

This is my wife and her family – this photo was taken on our wedding day earlier this year. She is a black woman living in a predominantly white neighborhood. As such, she is often subject to distrustful, cold, and sometimes even vile looks. I’ve seen it, I’ve been with her when it has happened. God forbid she encounters the wrong person when I’m not with her. The current climate of extreme frustration and tension is keeping me up at night.
We are ALL affected by this. This is not just a black problem, this is not just a police problem. This is a human problem and until we see our fellow man as just that, our fellow man, then we are doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past.
Hug your friends and family, look out for each other.
